PLEASE HELP!

Dear Town of Brant Residents:

We need your help. We are very aware that the proposed landfill is a very delicate issue. Most of that comes from fear of the unknown. Some of us have gotten to know more about it because there was supposed to be a Committee set up by the Town to let everyone know more. Also, we are upset because this was changed by a few people and the Committee was taken away. We do not think this is fair to the whole Town. This is a tremendous oppoitunity for our Town. Our Town could greatly benefit from it.

The issue we are upset about is the whole Town wasn't given the opportunity to make a decision on the complete concept of this. We should have been given the opportunity to hear more about the landfill, ask questions, have the questions answered. Then, we all should make the decision that we want it for our Town or we don't want it.

This letter Isn't saying you are for the landfill or you are against the landfill. What this letter is about is letting the Board know that there are people who want to know more and it is up to all the people to make the decision on something as important as this issue.

Enclosed is a letter saying we would have a Committee to let the whole Town be involved and then it was decided to not have a Committee. That wasn't the right thing to do.

Please, if interested, come to the Board Meeting on November 14th at the Brant Town Hall - 7:30 p.m. Please understand that being there doesn't mean you are for the landfill or against the landfill. What it means is that in order to make a decision, we must have all the facts and questions answered. The committee would make sure everyone knows when the meetings take place and everyone can have their questions answered.

We must do this as a "whole Town effort". This is our Town and it is up to us to decide what we want to do.
